Happy Halloween! Here's 18 Short Horror Films You Need To See! (2017 edition)

October Challenge Day 31:

Happy Halloween everyone!! Here is 18 brilliant short horror films to spook up your day.

Why 18 you ask? Because this is the 8th month of the old Roman calendar and the 10th month of the current calendar. BRAINS!

So without further ado, below is my pick of some of the best out there. With a review of 18 words or less, and in no particular order, please enjoy Horror Habit's 2017 Short Horror Film Festival.

Spira: This film asks, "What happens if a psychiatric patient's madness becomes contagious?" Lord help us all if that happens.

The Landing: Fantastic effects! Stunning cinematography! Brilliant execution! Striking and shocking in every way - don't miss this one.

The Gibbering Horror of Howard Ghormley: Nightmarish, strange, surreal, and it looks like it was pulled from David Lynch's nightmares.

Dead Hearts: "A whimsical, gothic bedtime story filled with love, loss, taxidermy, Kung Fu, and biker werewolves." Indeed! Indeed! Indeed!

The Best of Intentions: This Danish thriller surrounds an overly protective father, his daughter, and her caretaker...

The Brain Hack: Can a perfect image induce a viewer to see God...? Note - this video contains flashing images!

The Disappearance of Willie Bingham: Mentally and emotionally gruesome and very chilling, this short looks into an alternative capital punishment method...

Thumb Snatchers From the Moon Cocoon: A hilarious, goofy, and very original claymation short is sure to entertain all audiences.

“Dans l’ombre” (In the shadow): What things do you think your shadow would say - and would the two of you get along...?

Shame: A very disturbing tale about a girl and her hands...

Awfully Deep: A powerful and thought proving little tale about responsibility - for ourselves and others.

But I’d Really Have To Kill You: Witty, hilarious, and brilliant. This little office conversation will leave you laughing.

Monsters: A family living in a bunker after monsters take over the world, are doing more than hiding themselves...

Tik-Tik: Based on the Aswang creature, from Philippine folklore, this one will chill you to the core.

Canis: A deeply, deeply, deeply disturbing puppet stop animation about a boy and packs of wild dogs.

Night of the Slasher: Witty and filled with macabre humor, this one takes cheesy slasher films to a new level.

Intrusion: A remarkable found footage film created on a budget of $11.50! Watch with headphones!!

The Umbrella Factory: A simply stunning and beautiful animation short about the perils of getting what you ask for.

But Wait!!! There's more! Be sure to check out the short horror films available on this year's Celebrate Independent Horror Films post: http://horrorhabit.blogspot.com/2017/10/celebrating-independent-horror-movies.html
